Natural vs Naturally Derived

Many of the ingredients that we use are considered naturally derived, in other words, certain ingredients came from a whole plant then was processed and modified to make it into something else. For example, we use SLSa (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate) which is a surfactant, it gives the cleansing/bubble factor in our shampoo bars. SLSa is made from coconut and palm oils, so its natural plant was the coconut palm tree. SLSa is not as harsh as its man made “chemical” counterpart SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate). Though SLSa can be considered a chemical because it was processed from one thing into another by man, we believe these naturally derived ingredients are still much better for your body than something that has no natural properties at all.
